Amazon sword and malayan fern help

Can these plants grow without being submerged in the substrate? The roots of the plant are not planted but instead anchored down.

The amazon swords needs to be planted and the Malayan fern isn't aquatic as I expained in your other post.

Try anubias if you don't want to submerge... The main way that Amazon swords even draw nutrients is through root absorb.

Thanks i just bought some fluorite and moved the malayan fern, amazon sword, and moss bass to the 20g! Hope they will survive!
