So I noticed on my live rock that I have something that to me, looks like an anemone, possibly some kind of hydroid. I'm really not sure because I just started researching what it could be. Anyway, at first I didn't mind it because it's small and retracts away quite a bit. I'm becoming a little concerned though because I noticed that it's either spreading or more are popping up. The new ones are significantly smaller, but still enough to cause alarm to me.

From most of the research I've done, it seems that collectively speaking, there aren't all too many beneficial or harmless options that it could be. I haven't watched for any nighttime behavior, but have noticed that sometimes it's out and spread whilst other times it is retracted and close bound. There's no livestock in my tank at the moment.

Google corynactis. It's a type of anemone. Harmless and they usually don't last to long in tanks. Not sure if my spelling is correct. Lol
