It should be okay with a BNP. These like to be in groups also!

Do you have live plants ? They love to graze on the leaves. They won't harm the plants of course. Watch your water tests. A BN Pleco has a pretty big bioload for a 20g. I was told they need 30g or bigger. But sizewise it's good you have a long tank.
