It's come in on my LR. First time i have seen it in 3 weeks. It's sticking to the back of the tank and it does not look like any snails i have seen. It has something sticking out of the point on the left hand side of it on pics. Wondering whether to pick it out and have a proper look?!

It looks like a Nassarius snail to me. Closer look might be needed to make sure it is not a conch.

Because I did not know if it was one or the other. Nassarius like to be in the sand so i'm leaning towards the other.

Update! It's definitely not a snail or a conch! It is totally enclosed although how it managed to get right to the top of my tank I don't know. Almost looks clam like? Any ideas anyone?

Next update: I put the moon lights on to see if it would prompt any behaviour. It has slightly opened up and something is sticking out. Is this a foot and I have put it upside down? Or is it something to do with feeding? Could it be a mollusk? Come on America! Help out the Brits again! ;-)
