Just a heads up for any fans of Polypterus who live in the D/FW area. The Fish Gallery (just north of the intersection of Park Lane and Greenville Avenue) has gotten in about 25 BABY Polypterus delhezi, the armored bichir. They also have a bunch of albino Polypterus senegalus for sale.
If you like 'oddball' fish, they also got in a number of African Eel Catfish (either Channalabes apus or Gymnallabes), a bunch of very nice Tiger Dats, some of the most beautiful 'Red Jewel Cichlids' I've ever seen, a number of Yellow-tailed Congo Tetras, some Tanganyikan Banded Eels (Mastacembelus) and a whole host of other unusual fish.
