Anyone familiar with threadfin rainbows?

I picked up 8 threadfin rainbows last week and half of them have a white spot on the mouth. Does anyone know if this is normal coloration for these fish or if I have a bunch of fish with mouth fungus?

It sounds more like fungus. I have forktails, which are close to threadfins, but I've never seen "white spots" on the ones at our LFS.
