Four days after stocking a newly (and fully: amm and nitrites are at 0 for 3 days prior) cycled tank, I see 3-4 ich cysts on one swordtail. Gave a dose of API Super Ick treatment (sounds like that may not be the favored treatment in this community, but that's what I had here tonight). Realize after the fact that I will not be present to add back the activated charcoal at the 96-hour mark. I will be here to do the 48-hour repeat dose.

How big of a deal is this? If it's crucial, I can have a buddy stop by and replace the charcoal. If a total of 6 days in the dye isn't substantially different from 4 days in it, I will just let 'em...dye. :ROFLMAO: (Sorry, that's probably a bad joke!)

Hi welcome to AA.

I would just leave the meds in. They will weaken with time anyway and 6 days I find is still quite quick to get rid of white spot.
