Thanks. I just yanked the rock and killed the bugger. Scraped it out with a paring knife and heated the crevice with a flame. Hopefully it was the only one. Must have hitchhiked on a recent coral addition.
Haha that's a creative way to do it! Usually killing with a chemical like a kalkwasser paste, lemon juice or aptasia X is recommended because if you scrape them off, any leftover pieces can regrow.
I got lucky with this one. It picked a fairly wide crevice to tuck itself in so it was easy to rip apart. I can see how these can be a problem if you have multiples.
