I'm researching toxic aquarium plants b/c I have 3 cats, one of whom will do everything possible to get at any plants. And, due to shellfish ( possible mollusk) allergy, I have to treat and quarantine any plants.

Does anyone know any?

I found this article.

Does anyone see any aquatic plants on this cat list?

Dog list?

The only thing I found was pothos vine. That's only used in very certain circumstances with the roots dangling in the water and growing over the side of the tank.

Water hemlock maybe but nobody is going to have that plant unless they harvested it themselves.

Thank you for checking the list!!! I'm very grateful!!! This is my holding area and even when I wall it off with cardboard my one cat, Lily goes nuts to get at the plants.

BTW. Does anyone else have their house over run with aquarium mish-mosh?

Im currently in the process of re-doing one of my tanks, so yes... I have stuff laying about everywhere.
But even with out that project going on, there are containers of fish food and bottles of various things (Prime and plant ferts) littered about.

Got any good funny pics of the messes we make? My stove looks as good as my sink, I boil my driftwood every day. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1397278132.168028.jpg

And here is the box of foods and water conditioner and fertsImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1397278233.095093.jpg

And the boxes of objects to up the 10 & 30 gallon

LOL. I got stuff everywhere but mostly near the kitchen b/c the basement stairs are close by and I'm setting the tanks up there b/c I need new flooring and a paint job upstairs. ( typical old lady house. Carpets are 25 yrs old)
