I'm coming up on the one year anniversary of my tank, and while there have been a few bumps along the way, I think I finally have a very stable and happy tank. Plus I seem to be getting more and more enjoyment out of it each and every day.
On to my question. Since my tank is a year old now, are there any supplies and/or equipment I should consider replacing? From reading the forums, I think I should at least get some fresh flake food and a new fluorescent bulb. How about my filter media (sponge and ceramic pellets)? I'm also using Seachem Prime and Flourish...do these products have expiry dates? Finally, how long do heaters and Aquaclear filter motors last? Should I just wait for them to fail, or is it better to do some preventative maintenance and replace them after a certain length of time?
Thanks in advance!
