All in the title I love danios and barbs but my new tank doesn't have enough room for a group of them so I was wondering if there are any species of danios or barbs that I could get as a single fish or a pair :fish1:

10 Gallon Tank :fish2:

Thanks for listening :thanks:

None for that sized tank. What else is in the tank? There are a few other solitary fish that might work depending on your stock.

Getting two sparkling gouramis in the next few days as starter fish and then once cycle completed going to add more.

As far as I know, all barbs and danios are shoaling fish. About the only ones that may be okay in a 10 gallon would be a school of celestial pearl danios since they tend to be fairly sedentary and small.

Take a look at Rasboras and Tetras, they're schoolers as well, but there's far more varieties stay small and that do well in nano tanks.
