My dad surprised me with 5 assassin snails this morning because my tank is a little taken over by MTS.:nono: I just want to make sure my fish will be safe with them and I am about to put a mesh over the fry breeder. I am basically only worried about the fry but my fish are 2 silver hatchetfish, 2 sunburst platy, 2 dalmatian molly. Any other information on assassins would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I know that it is a little understocked and I will be filtering my fry into the larger tank when they are big enough.:thanks:

I've never seen them attack a fish. Unless they can slither over it, it should be safe.

OK, it's just that some of my fry are very tiny and even if they wont hurt them its very nerve wracking.

Although these snails are quite fast (as far as snails go) they can never out'swim' a fish. Btw they will always 'warn' fish since they continuisly poke objects with their 'probe'
