baby (fry) tank... filtration

so i have a 10g fry tank, i am looking into getting a new filter since the tank is so over stocked

would a aqua clear 50 be to strong?

I have a platy fry tank set up now. It is a ten gallon and I have an aquaclear 50 on it and it seems fine. The fry swim around freely and are not pushed around by the current. Water stays in great shape!

Just one thing! Cover the filter intake with a fine mesh of some kind or they may get sucked up into the filter.

oh I will. I ordered some fluval edge filter sponge things .. I was told they fit well over the intake and guards from all angles
