So cool! I have Platys, and a separate fry tank, but I feed them the fry powder too. It works great. I'm also pretty new, but so far I have gotten 32 big enough to move back to my normal tank and have only lost a couple. The only thing I would suggest is get a small mystery snail (my LFS gives them for free cause they are considered pest) to put in there with them to eat the left over powder or you will have some nasty growth soon. You should have seen my try tank pre-snail... Yuck!

I haven't lost one yet that I know of. I have about 25 fry from two different batches (one belongs to one female, one to another).
I do have a couple trumpet snails in there... but they are tiny.

I would think the trumpets would do the same thing. My mystery snail started about the size of a pea, now it is about the size of a quarter. It's only been about a month.
