balanced alk/Ca

I read that a “balanced” Ca/Alk for a Ca of 400 would be an Alk of 1.96 meq/l. My Alk is 4.5 meq/l is there any way to lower Alk?

The ideal alkalinity level is 3.0 meq/L to 4.0 meq/L or 7-10 dKH.
The ideal calcium concentration is about 400 mg/L.

Your Alk is fine at 4.5 meq/l and regular pwc will "normalize" it further.

... you're in good shape. The "balance" point you refer to is a line that's in between the two lines shown on the graph in that article. It's only a theoretical point and if you're there - cool, but if not no worries.
