Question, how do you tell if a balloon Molly is pregnant. I know you can tell by the signs but I mean visually.

If its like a guppy look for a dark spot (gravid spot) near the bottom fin

Yeah, you'd look for the gravid spot. Plus, it will be even fatter then it normally is!

Yeah, it would be hard to tell. I'm not sure, I guess you'd have to go by how large the belly is. Black one's are super hard to tell

Any time my black ones are they get a white dot (gravid spot) and it get bigger as they get full term.

do you have a picture of the fish in question? if so, post and someone will answer the question for you by simply looking at the picture.

IME when a Balloon Molly is pregnant she will display
1. A gravid area
2. Larger underbelly
And
3. Larger in the chest area
It can be difficult at times to see if this particular fish is pregnant, sometimes you just have to wait it out and see what happens because not every fish is the same and can display different signs
