Best substrate for a 10g planted?

I'm bored of my unnaturally coloured gravel and I'm really looking for a natural substrate that is good for planted tanks?
Is Eco-Complete any good?

I have Eco-complete in my 55. All the plants seem to love it. Just make sure you dose ferts or root tabs as appropriate. More a factor than the substrate in most cases

It sounds bad but I don't know my lighting. It's seems quiet bright. I use liquid co2, liquid fertiliser and root tabs.
