Betta and Shrimp

I ordered a 5 gallon tank to keep a a betta in, but i want some kind of cleaner. I cant do corys, i know, but heard about ghost shrimp. would these be alright to keep together?

It totally depend on your betta, mine won't let anything in it's space where as my sisters is very nice and will share space.

You could try adding a few ghosties to see how things go. Kai is correct, it depends on the temperament of the individual betta. If not shrimp, a nerite snail is a good option.
