Betta decision

I will be getting my betta soon but can't decide go get a baby fry or one that is 6 months old how do you ho about deciding this . My tank is 5.5 gallon.

I prefer mature so I know what they'll look like.

The fry are hard to keep alive. I have heard they are usually culls or runts anyway and they arent healthy. As as Fish said earlier I prefer to see what they look like as adults also.
