you can put it in the oven for 10-15 mins on 250F to kill all the bactieria on it the low temp wont crack the rock but it will kill the bacteria that dies a 220F of the boiling point of water

I have actually heard that baking isn't as effective as boiling.

I was thinking of that but I want to boil it to cause it has been sitting for over 15 yrs. In my yard with weed killer being spayed on it and I heard also boiling is more effected but they my be just a myth.

So today for sure I'm boiling it and getting her in there with new fake plants and maybe some dark gravel to edge the rock. Will post pics when all done .
