Black Algae!!???

Hello my tank has a sand substrate. Currently I have a brown algae bloom all over the tank that keeps coming back even though I sift the sand daily. Too much light perhaps. But, there is one section in the back by my live rock that is an extremely dark green algae that it is almost BLACK. It is like black hair algae. What could this be?

Is it like brown slime, or more like dust? Could be diatoms. Are you still cycling?

The black alage could be cyanobacteria. Manually remove as much as possible,
and make sure you are getting plenty of water flow to that part of the rock.
