Hey guys I got a 55 gallon tank with a pair of black convict cichlid with their fry. The tank mates are my concern, I have one Oscar, one fire mouth, and one green terror. The oscar is id say 4 inches, the fire mouth 3 inches and the green terror 3 1/2 I'd say.
The question is are my fry going to survive? The tank mates are well fed, but the convict parents have quick fights with the fire mouth and barely the Oscar, but I don't want the fish to eat my fry

there are really no garintes, if you ave good hiding spots/good parents some will survive, the only thing you really can do to insure safety is put them in a separate tank

That sounds like a really big bioload... Convicts are supposedly good parents but I would be safe and just move the parents and fry to a separate tank.

Thanks guys it turns out my black convicts beat up my oscar real bad. He's okay alright now after I moved the convict family down to the bottom tank still with all fry
