Hey guys what's the black dots on the airline tube I'm using for my diy co2? Some form of algae? It's not anywhere else in the tank.

Looks like it. Are the spots on the outside of the tube or inside. If inside could be mold if you managed to get any of the sugar/yeast stuff to blow up in the line.

Thanks. It's on the outside, hopefully it doesn't cause any problems. Just rubbed it all off into a water bucket so we'll see if it comes back. Just wanted to check it was nothing thats gonna be disastrous :p

Probably some sort of release agent or component leaching that the algae finds beneficial for growth. Should go away most likely in time.

It's on my driftwood now :/ if you can see it on the photo. But then it could've been there before and I probably wouldn't notice.
