Absolutely not. They can reach 20" easily. Browns are a little smaller but I still wouldn't recommend them for a 30g.

A African brown knife would work in a 30. Also a very cool fish.

The bgk's just get to large.

I heard they reach 20+ inches so I don't think a 30 gallon is suitable for them :/

I think a minimum for this fish would be 100G, so it can easily get around the tank

I was thinking browns got to be around 12". Maybe I'm thinking of something else then. I know BGK will definitely get too big.

Maybe they can reach 12" but most I have kept, or read about maxed out at 9". And I have had a few over a year old. One being 3yrs old. Usually topping out at 8-9 inches.
