I bought two shrimp which were sold to me as ghost. Please help confirm that these are indeed Ghost shrimp and not aggressive macro.

PS: one of the shrimps has a front claw (foot missing). Both had red bands on their front legs while at a store. No longer visible in a quarantine tank.

I'm going with glass/ ghost shrimp but need pictures from the side to be more certain. Ghost shrimp can have some markings on their legs or claws, it just depends on the location they come from. I had a strain of ghost shrimp that were pale yellow all over.

Generally Macrobrachium have longer front claws and regularly show black and red lines on the front claws.

Here you go! Finally was able to capture one of them from the side today.

Trying again - for some reason the uploading degrades quality.

Interesting markings on the body. I'm staying with ghost/ glass shrimp but see how they go over the next few months. If they double in size and eat everything, they are Macrobrachium :)
