Black sponge like thing???

Ok I bought more live rock for my tank. I got this really cool piece of rock that weighs like 7-8 pounds when I got it there was normal purple green and brown algae. I noticed the other day this patch of black so I felt it and its like a velvety spongey thing idk what it is
