M thinking of getting a blenny or 2 for my tank. Are they effective algae eaters?

I would only do 1. What size tank is it? They are good algae eaters but make sure once your tank is algae free to supplement them with algae sheets.

75 gallon I use algae sheets for my tangs

I've been told that keeping multiple blennies is possible if they are different subspecies. If you get one blenny that has "fat lips" you can put one that doesn't. So, a lawnmower should be ok with a tailspot for example. Never tried this myself but I have been told so by an experienced LFS employee.

I have a 60g tank with multiple blennys and gobies, no fighting or anything. :)

And yes, that is a dragonette above not actually a blenny. Has he eaten yet? They are extremely hard to get to eat frozen food.
