Blew my Ballast

ACK!!! I blew my ballast some how on my T5 lights. I think it may have gotten wet but not sure, anyhow a new one is on the way

well I called Reef geeks.com where I bought my T5's from and they said they would send me a new ballast for $39.95 and a RA number for the other, since it is only about a month old it will probably be covered under the warranty so they will then credit me back the $39.95 if so.

When I got home from work today my protein skimmer wasnt working ??????????
I took the maxijet 1200 that powers it apart and cleaned it which seemed to fix the problem.

ya i have to clean min about every week is seems. salt dryes in the air inlet tube and you have to get it out.

I hear that

the fan on my ballast for my PC's stopped and one the lights decided it wanted to run in strobe mode, so rather then have my tank look like a disco i have to run with my old 40 watts until i get a new one (it's not even 2 months old yet)
