I noticed about 2 weeks ago I have this darkish blue/purple algae growing on the glass of my 25 gallon. My algae eaters don't seem to have attacked any of it, and it doesn't really scrape off with my glass scraper magnet. I tried to use a aquarium sponge to try something different, no luck. I was able to scrape it off with my nail, it doesn't seem to be slimey at all, it's just flakeish. Anyone have any ideas about what it is and a good way of getting rid of it?

Maybe it's a calcium build up? I've never seen blue/purple algae before. Do you know if you have hard water?

I don't remember to be honest with you, it's been awhile since I've tested for hardness.
