Bluegill Color Natural Enhancement idea?

Besides the natural spawn of bluegills were their color becomes more vibrant. Is there any way to enhance their color? certain foods? water temps..etc?

I would try to feed your bluegill some more livefoods like earthworms, feedershrimp, crickets or anything they will eat in nature to enhance bright colors

Frozen bloodworms and NLS Cichlid pellets would do it.

Another thing to note if you are catching them wild is to find some colorful stock. The colors can range from collection point to collection point. I have seen some beautiful ones in some places and really drab ones in others.
