I haven't tried this, so I was wondering if when you boil driftwood, does it make it dense enough to sink on it's own?
I am used to seeing/using driftwood mounted to slab slate.
I currently am using some African driftwood I bought on-line, that sinks on it's own.
I have found a piece of driftwood that I like that wasn't mounted and floats. I have been soaking it in a bucket refreshing the water every few days to discard of tannins. I was wondering if boiling would cure it's buoyancy?
