So I'm boiling driftwood right now and without thinking about it used the big pot we use to cook in in the kitchen. Any problem with not being able to use it after this or is it safe? Thanks

It will be safe; just wash it thoroughly after use.
I use an old crab steaming pot (was going to be thrown out) for this purpose.
