bolivian ram help

Recently I just bought a Bolivian ram and he seems to be active. I decided that I would get another in hopes to socialize him early. Does anyone know if my ram is male or female and if he looks healthy.

its hard to tell from that picture and its also very hard to tell when there young. It looks like a male to me (but Im by far no expert). I found a lot of good descriptions on google distinguishing the sex when I was getting my Rams. the males have a more blunt nose then the females, the females will usually have a more pronounced tab looking thing right in front of the fin towards the back of there abdomen, the males will also be more vibrant in color as well. Once again, its difficult to tell when there young. and it looks heathy to me, is it active? and is it eating? mine like to pick through the gravel and will occasionally peck at each other but are very peaceful for the most part.
