I just started my fishless cycle a Aqueon 40g breeder 36.2" x 18.3" x 17",I noticed it bows out a little..i bought it new last week,it doesnt have the center brace.and why it wouldnt have one and some would...is this normal on these tanks..

Yeah, I would say the brace serves a purpose, but I have heard of people removing them in order to make room for bio wheels etc.

40 breeders do not typically have a center brace, at least not the ones made by Aqueon.

I can't say for certain, but would assume that it is because they consider the weight of the water in that size tank with the given glass thickness to be insufficient to cause bowing issues. If you're seeing actually bowing, I would take pictures of it, take it into your LFS or were ever you purchased it from and explain that you would like to return the tank. Sounds to me like a defective tank. A 40b shouldn't have any bowing issues.
