Hello. We have been trying to breed our two ocellaris clownfish. They have been in a tank by themselves for 4 months and are still doing the Twitchy Dance. Is this normal? Should they still be twitchy? And do they continue to twitch even after they have become "mates" and/or laid eggs?

It might take a while for it to happen. Water parameters need to perfect or pretty close. Hopefully it will happen.

pH is 8.2, ammonia 0, nitrite is 0, and nitrates are about 15-20. We do a water change once a week and we have dropped the sal down to about 1.020. Is there anything else we can do to help them?

If both are twitching i would say they are still competing to be the female. Have you seen them lay eggs before?

Only the male is twitching and we have read to drop the sal to 1.020 to imitate spring time.
