What would be an ideal setup for successfully breeding neon tetras in a community tank. I've got 5, 4 males and one female, and that female is definitely looking like she's got some eggs to deposit. If I could setup a corner of the tank with an ideal habitat for the eggs to hatch then that would be brilliant. Or I have the option of getting a small tank that I could setup for breeding.

I think you should get some more females, thatll help. But I believe the neons jump out of the water and let go of their eggs while jumping. They prefer to jump over plants with big leaves so the eggs land on those.

You're thinking of the splashing tetras that lay their eggs out of water. Neons are hard to breed.
