Hi! I need some information on breeding the rainbow gudgeons. Anyone know if they will breed with other types of fish in the tank with them?

I'm assuming you mean peacock gudgeons?

I don't think there's any other fish that can interbreed, at least none that are commonly found. Maybe another rare species of Gudgeons or gobies.

This is a great article I found:

Also like with most fish it's best to start with a group of 6+ so they can pair of for breeding. Feed a rich diet of love and frozen foods and provide with lots of caves, I've heard pvc pipes are perfect for them.

Do you have experience with breeding fish?

Yes, i Have experience with livebearing fish. not so much with the egg layers.

Egg layers are very different, mainly as the fry are a lot smaller.

For the breeding tank, I'd use sponge filters, so the fry don't get sucked in.

I'd try to get my hands on some vinegar eels and microworms, both are really easy live foods for fry.

Golden pearls are a great dried food for fry, that's what I primarily use. Kensfish has great prices for them.
