Does anyone know how to set up a 5.5 gal breeding tank?I want to breed my two Ameca Splendens.Do I need to have the tank cycled first?I have all the stuff for the tank but am unsure as to water requirements

breeding Ameca splendens

First...yes the tank should be cycled. Recommendations for the Ameca splendens are as follows:
Temp: 76-81 deg F
pH: 6.7-7.4
Feeding: Omnivorous but needs vegetable matter in diet for optimum health.
Recommended breeding ratio is 3 females to 1 male...males tend to be agressive towards females during breeding. Smallest tank recommended is 20 gal. It is recommended to remove the males after breeding...females can usually be left in with fry but may eat them if not properly fed. A 25% water change per week is suggested for the fry tank. This was all I could come up with at the present...hope it helps some :)
