bronze cory

I currently have one bronze cory, who is nice but always seems lonely and will sit at the bottom doing nothing. I have been interneting and found out that they should be in groups of 6 or more. I don't really want to get 6, so would a group of 3 bronze corys be enough? also in another tank I have some false julii corys, if I put him in with them would they keep him company instead of getting more bronzes? He's been by himself for 3 months and is getting lonelier even though he is surrounded by other fish.

i have corydoras aeneus(albino) with corydoras trilineatus(false julii) and they shoal together
