I would like to get a refractometer since I know it will be a lot more accurate than my current hydrometer. I saw the reviews about the BRS one and that looks good but amazon also has quite a few. Just curious which one everyone likes. Thanks
I would expect to get a serviceable refractometer from them. I bought mine from Dr's Foster & Smith When it was on sale. Ebay has them for cheap but you get what pay for.
I don't think there is a great variation in them. I bought a $50 one EBay and it works great. Only thing I wish I had gotten was one with a viewing LED built in.
I got the BRS one about a month ago and it works great. Just make sure to use the calibration solution as specified to make sure that you're getting accurate readings.
