I have a 23 gallon tank with lots of driftwood and lots of plants. It houses 8 diamond tetras, 6 panda corries, three female bettas, and one bn pleco.

After months of living together I noticed a couple days ago that the pleco wasn't coming out for zucchini. I went looking for him tonight and his fins look badly nipped.

The only other tank I have that I could set up is a five gallon.

Should I try to get the pleco out and get him in his own tank or take him back to the store?

Should I pull the bettas out and return them?

They've all been together quite a while but clearly this arraignment has stopped working.

Please advise as I'd like to address this issue first thing in the morning.

Plenty of clean water with conditioner will help him heal. I had a bulldog that lost most of his fins and just gave plenty pwc and he healed great. I'm not sure about adding salt with a bnp? Hopefully someone with experience on that will help you.

Good luck with him, I'm sure he'll heal fine :)
