Butterfly splitfin or butterfly goodeid, Ameca splendens info needed

Picked up 2 of these in a mixed lot of fish, were told they were both female but I think they were a pair & I have fry so looking for information please

Awesome they are a cool looking fish even if they are bullies

They like temps a little lower than most species. They can be pretty big fin nippers. One of the more common goodeids

Thanks EOgoldfiah for that info what I really need is a way to sex them so I know that they really are both female & I can eliminate them from the list of potential parents for these oddball fry
