My pair spawned and I have fry not yet in the free swimming stage although the female has them out leading them around.

I saw them for the first time 4 days ago.

They are in a 10 Gallon set up.

It's obvious she does not want the male near the fry and at times has been quite aggressive in keeping him away.

Not sure if he is just curious and wants to assist with the parenting OR if he wants a snack.

This morning he seemed more determined than ever to get around the fry.

Although they were placed in the 10 gallon only to quaratine for a 29 community tank, now that they have spawned I WOULD like to see the fry grow into adulthood.

Should I remove the male from the 10 gallon to protect the adults as well as the fry?

Yes remove the male. And after a few days of the free swimming stage remove the female to maximize amount of fry surviving.
