California Axolotl Permit - First Post

Hello all! This is my very first post :')

I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with the permit application process in California. I'm in the middle of that process right now, and I'm so anxious. Have any of you ever been approved for the restricted species permit to keep an animal as a pet?

Please keep answers on topic and relevant -- nothing from other states or countries, "cousin's friend" stories, etc.
