Can any damage be caused by leaving fry in the tank?

I keep Africans, so naturally, there's gonna be fry.

I'm pretty sure I've currently got around 4 batches in the tank at the moment.

I have no plans to get them out or raise them, can this be damaging to the tank in any way?

Not materially.

I mean I suppose there is a nominal increase in waste production but given that they will likely be eating fairly quickly it is not anything I would worry about it.

Also, some are likely to survive which will slowly increase your population over time.

I would say that it is more common to leave them in than it is to strip them and raise them.

Righto, I guess free fish is better than no fish.
