Quick question--

With a planted tank, am I able to keep more fish than a non planted tank due to the natural filtration of fish wastes? I figure more fish would actually help the plants grow more, right?

Essentially I'd like to add either a few more neons or maybe an otto or three?

No. Its more size and comfort feeling. Not that anything else is less important. It just gives your current fish, and tank, more stability and healthy water.

Don't count on it. Esp in a small tank. Under 20g can get out of whack fast !!

I feed my plants w Ferts. I don't rely on fish waste.

I have a lot of fish, but mine are tiny and I do a lot of PWCs. I don't think it's the best way.

Lightly stocked tanks are easier to keep balanced !!

Dear Goodeyesniper,

I agree with all of the above. Plants make it a better place for fish. They do not allow one to have more fish...
