Can I use EI successfully with Excel as carbon source?

I've been using Metricide 14 for almost six months now on my 50g tank. Used to dilute it but now I just add it straight, much easier. I couldn't be happier with the results and have no desire for CO2 at the moment.

I add about 25ml undiluted (2.6% Glut) a day over two doses to coincide with my split photo period. This is equivalent to 43 ml Excel (1.5% Glut). My working tank volume is 39gal so based on this I'm adding 1ml of 1.5% Glut per .9 gal of tank water.

The plants love it, growth has been very good, no fish deaths for many months now, and the best thing is almost zero algae. I also dose PPS daily, 1.2ppm KH2PO4, 1.0ppm KNO3, and .12ppm Plantex. 50% weekly water changes.
