I got a clown pleco about two months ago from a very good LFS. He looked a little rough when I got him, but he was the last one so I took a chance. Sadly, he died within about two weeks.

So, about two weeks ago I got another one from the same place (this time they had plenty that all looked good). This new guy is still kicking, but he stays in the cave all the time and I've never seen him eat. I toss in algae wafers for him, but the community fish go nuts for them so there's never any left for him. I suppose he could be eating the flakes that fall to the ground, but I think my cories gobble those up too quickly for the clown pleco to have a chance.

The tank has been up and running for ~8 months and the water quality is good. I've got driftwood in the tank, too, which I know plecos like.

Is there anything else I can do to ensure my clown pleco is (and stays) a happy, healthy fish?
