Carpet anemone knowledge

I recently received a mini carpet anemone completely on accident & I'm pretty new to sw tanks. I've been learning all that I can about care for it, (lighting, water quality, flow, feeding, etc). My question this time is, how do I know when to feed it directly & how much?

You will likely get mixed answers but generally feeding anemones is not required. They have symbiotic algae that feeds them this is also what gives them color and is why they require strong lighting. Lots of people do feed but in small amounts once a week or two. For a small nem I would feed it mysis shrimp.

I feed mine once a week shrimp ,clams scallops, fish....
