Cascade 1000

Just purchased a Cascade 1000 and I am currently waiting on the media to arrive.
I wanted some opinions on this setup. I did my best on research, so please correct me if I'm wrong because this is my first time using a canister filter. I attached a photo for a better representation of what I would like to do.

Also, does anyone use charcoal? If I was to add it...would it be the very top item?

That is probably how I would set it up. I do not use charcoal because I infuse CO2 into the water, but if I did use charcoal, I would put it closer to the top and change it about once a month.

You're using Purigen, no need for carbon.
